Deployment Specialist - Denmark (Copenhagen) - Autonomous Mobilty

The future of transportation is autonomous, shared and sustainable. At Autonomous Mobility (AM) we are building new mobility solutions to fit this future. We are creating services, which will allow people and goods to be moved autonomously from door to door, on the ground and in the air.

We operate in eight countries throughout the Nordics and Baltics, and have already launched pilot programs in Denmark and Sweden, and Norway. Finland and Estonia are next.

What will a day look like?
Your base will be in Copenhagen, but you will travel frequently in Northern Europe to new and existing pilot project sites. Working as a Deployment Specialist means great variety in your work day, opportunity to independently planning your tasks, and having an integral part in the successful execution of our pilot programs.

Typically a full setup of a new route for our autonomous shuttles will result in 3-7 days away from home.

Getting to the point…
You will join our Operations Team. When deploying, you will be on location and carry out the technical preparations (mapping) for the specific route for our autonomous shuttles. To actively do that requires that you are a natural in handling stakeholders like police, authorities and customers with one hand - and technical setup and problem solving with the other hand. Often you’ll find yourself in a situation with no easy solution, the complete project deadline on your shoulders and time is ticking while you’re trying to think outside of the box.

What does a Deployment Specialist do?
  • New projects: Technical preparations on site (mapping, installation of navigation equipment etc.) and practical preparations at home (preparation of paperwork, application documents, coordination with manufacturers etc.).
  • Existing projects: Technical debugging, re-mapping and troubleshooting with 1st to 3rd line support from the manufacturers.
  • Participate in short and long-term planning with colleagues and manufacturers.
  • Responsible for end-to-end delivery of deployments and paperwork accordingly to project timeline
  • Technical sparring partner for Business Development, Planning- and Operations Teams
  • Participation in vehicle vendor evaluations
  • Responsible for project updates and meetings internally and externally
  • We are looking for someone who can easily combine theory and practise - preferably with experience from a previous career within the field of autonomy, GNSS/RTK localization, or electrification of transportation. You know what odometer, IMU and LiDARs are and you know how they work.

You will be joining the Operations team. The Operations team also includes our in-vehicle operators, who you will be working closely with. For working, training and exchange of knowledge with the rest of the team, expect 5 to 20 days of travel across Europe per month. You should also expect to be flexible with your working hours, with some periods being more busy that others, including early mornings and late nights and weekends.

Your profile could look something like this:
  • Curious and ready for significant responsibility
  • Capable of working with a variety of personalities
  • An ability to travel at a moments notice
  • Detail oriented while keeping the complete overview of the deployment
  • Fluent in English (primarily verbal), preferably also another European language.
  • Experience with working odd hours is a must
  • Highly confident with electronics, mechanics and vehicles in general

We offer:
  • An important role in a start-up transforming mobility across Europe
  • Opportunity to work with the actual mapping, navigation, localisation and implementation of autonomous driving in real world projects
  • Your own area of responsibility with opportunity to grow
  • A dynamic environment of ambitious people
  • Competitive compensation and pension
How do we recruit?
We spend a lot of time finding the right candidates. We need to be right for you and you need to be right for us.

In a few steps, here’s how we do recruitment:
  • First, we’d like to ask you a few questions
  • Second, we might ask you to do a video interview
  • Third, we get to meet each other
  • Fourth, a practical test of your technical capability
